米蘭諾維奇現為紐約市立大學研究生中心（Graduate Center, City University of New York）客座首席教授，並為史東社會經濟不平等研究中心（Stone Center on Socio-Economic Inequality）核心師資。曾任世界銀行（World Bank）研究部門的首席經濟學家。著作包括《全球不平等》（Global Inequality）和《富人與窮人：全球不平等簡史》（The Haves and the Have-Nots: A Brief and Idiosyncratic History of Global Inequality）。
