紐約州立大學阿爾伯尼分校（State University of New York at Albany）刑事司法碩士與博士。威斯康辛大學麥迪遜分校新聞學碩士。在大學教授刑事司法、社會學與新聞學課程超過二十年，並擔任記者與兒少保護服務的社會工作者。
