目前為Accenture策略變革學院院長，及波士頓大學資訊管理系教授。曾任致遠資訊科技與策略中心合夥人、麥肯錫顧問公司及CSC　Index資訊科技研究部門主管，亦曾任教於德州奧斯汀大學等。其著作《流程創新》（Process Innovation: Reengineering Work through Information Technology）、《知識管理：企業組織如何有效運用知識》（Working Knowledge: How Organizations Manage What They Know）皆為暢銷書。另著有《資訊生態學》(Information Ecology: Mastering the Information and Knowledge Environment)及《組織再造》（Reengineering the Organization: Transforming to Compete in the Information Economy）。
